Regina

Chapter Contact

The Regina Chapter of the CWB Association has been serving the Regina and South Saskatchewan welding community for over 50 years, first as part of the Welding Institute of Canada (WIC) then as the Canadian Welding Association (CWA), and today as part of the CWB Association.

Though the name has changed the values and goals of the Association and the Regina Chapter have remained the same. We are committed to promoting the Canadian Welding and Joining Industry and supporting the people who make their living through it, including Welders, Inspectors, Engineers, Sales, and Students.

Some of the ways we do this is by awarding our Harold Mollekan Scholarship every year to a student heading into a post-secondary welding program. We co-host our annual 鈥淐areers In Welding鈥 career fair with the Regina Sask Polytechnic campus and attend other area career fairs. We host monthly in-person and online Speaker Events, Trivia Games, Dinner Meetings, Networking Events, Shop tours, and Hands-on Demo Events. 听
Our Event season starts in September with our annual 鈥淲ELDcome鈥 dinner meeting and ends in June with our Golf Tournament. Some past events include Online Events:

鈥⑻ 听鈥淪ocial Media and Welding鈥 presented by Kevin Roy.
鈥⑻ 听鈥淪o, You Want to be an Independent Contractor鈥 presented by Mike Janzen and Dan Hunt Co-Founders of Clear Source.
鈥⑻ 听Welding Trivia Night.

In-person Events such as:
鈥⑻ 听Cristian Zanfir : Robotics & Automation a Codes & Standards talk.
鈥⑻ 听Games Night. A networking event.

We host Demo Events with companies like Lincoln Electric, Red-D-Arc, Fronius, and Miller. We鈥檝e also had blacksmithing demonstrations and shop tours. And a variety of Fundraisers for our scholarship and other school secondary donation projects.

The Regina Chapter is one of the fastest-growing Chapters in Canada and we did this with a lot of hard work from our great team on our Executive Board, but most of all we did it because of people like you, taking an interest in your local welding community, coming out to events and joining the CWB Association.
