SAIT WET Student Paper Competition

When: Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM MDT
Where: SAIT Polytechnic, Aldred Centre, Room CA100, 1301 16 Ave NW Calgary, AB T2M 0L4

This event is kindly being hosted by the Welding Engineering Technology Student club and they are providing food for the participants and attendees. If you are interested in becoming a judge, please send an email to calgary@cwbassociation.org.

The objective is to have at least 2 groups of SAIT WET students prepare a technical paper and present their findings for a panel of judges. Group size can be individuals to a maximum of two people.

The paper can be on any topic of their choosing related to their field of study: materials, welding, joining, inspection, etc. The paper must be original work completed by the submitting group. This work should include data or information procured by the group themselves and is not intended to come entirely from internet findings. Students are encouraged to carry over work from their in class projects as long as the work is authentic and completed only by the group members.

Date: Wednesday, November 13, 2024
Time: 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM MST
Location: Gusto's Restaurant and Lounge, 28-7003 30 St SE Calgary, AB T2C 1N6
