The CWB Association Nova Scotia Chapter was created in 1998. Nova Scotia is one of Canada’s four Maritime provinces and is entirely surrounded by water. Our province is known for our lobsters, lighthouses, whale watching and the highest tides in the world. Nova Scotia has a wide range of mineral resources, including coal and iron, and was the birthplace of the Canadian steel industry. We are proud to have pioneered steelmaking in Canada, produced Canada’s first steel in 1870 and poured ingots in 1883.

We are proud to be a part of the CWB Association, promote the welding and joining industry and provide networking opportunities. The industry sectors we cater to in our province are agriculture, marine, mining, and manufacturing. Our members range from industry, colleges, students, and regulating bodies. We work very closely with our neighbours at the Halifax Chapter to support and host events in our communities. Our Chapter is very active with our local NSCC College to support the next generation with industry-related information sessions.
