Conestoga to Launch Canada’s First Joining & Welding Undergraduate Engineering Degree Program in Fall 2025
Ontario’s Minister of Colleges and Universities has recently granted authorization to Conestoga College to offer a specialized undergraduate engineering honours degree in Joining & Welding Engineering. The new program is aimed to develop Canadian talent at the undergraduate engineering level, meeting industry needs in the field of welding and joining. This new project-based learning program offers interdisciplinary studies of mechanical design, joining and welding, non-destructive evaluation (NDE), and automated manufacturing. The program will have three 4-month co-op work terms. The first cohort of students will be enrolled in the 2025 Fall term and will graduate in August of 2029.
