Skills Canada Series - Episode 1 with Britnee Mishak
The CWB Association has had the honor of working with Skills/Comp茅tences Canada on a special Podcast Series interviewing members of the National Alumni Committee (NAC) from each province and territory to share their Skills journey. Every year, hundreds of Canadian youth participate in the Skills Canada National Competition and become alumni of their programs. The NAC was formed to create, support, and provide guidance to the Skills Canada provincial and territorial Alumni Associations across the country.听听
Today鈥檚 guest is Britnee Mishak, a self-titled 鈥渂indery wizard鈥 by trade from Regina, Saskatchewan. Britnee works in a print shop where she does everything that happens to paper from printing, and finishing techniques such as coil binding, laminating, and folding. Britnee first learned of the Skills Canada competitions when she competed in 2015 for graphic design and placed Silver at provincials in Saskatchewan. Since her provincial competition, Britnee has been on the Essential Skills Youth Forum as a participant and as a leader. She feels honoured to have been a part of the Canada 150 Alumni event and to have the opportunity to speak at Skills-related events. Currently, she is the President of the Skills Canada National Alumni Committee (NAC) where she works to establish and promote Alumni Associations across the country with other NAC leaders.听
