School Safety Audits
Reduce risk and make welding safety a priority in your schools.
CWB Consulting offers safety audits for school boards so you can provide a positive and safe learning experience for students.
Our goal is to avoid welding-related injuries in class and once students are on the job. Making safety a priority in schools helps students understand the importance of safe practices right from the start, and puts students on the path to success in the trades.
Our intensive audit, performed by team members with vast technical knowledge and experience, is designed to help minimize risks of welding-related injuries for students and instructors. Through observations and reviews, we can identify potential risks present in the shop and outline guidelines to help provide a safer training environment.
Comprehensive review and knowledgeable auditors support safer schools.
A safety audit includes a detailed report of the school’s shop equipment with documentation and pictures of any non-conformance. We inspect the shop’s current welding equipment for hazards such as:
- Mechanical
- Noise
- Arc radiation
- Welding sparks
- Spatter
- Open flames
- Fumes
- Gases
- Gas leaks
- Improper electrical connections
- Oxy-fuel apparatuses such as hoses, regulators, and torches
- Cylinder storage
- PPE (personal protective equipment)
Towards a safe and sustainable industry.
We understand the importance of empowering young people to build a better future. That’s why a portion of the profits from CWB Consulting is used to support the CWB Welding Foundation’s efforts to bring awareness to our industry and CWBi Acorn to ensure the continued success and growth of the welding industry.
