Shaun Paranych
Shaun entered the welding industry after completion of the Electrical Engineering Technician program at NAIT. For 25 years he worked extensively in the oil & gas, chemical & process, pulp & power, mining & drilling sectors throughout BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. He became interested in working with Íâ¹úÃÀŮɫÇéƬ and found his calling as an instructor after seeing a need to help others navigate the complexity of the welding world.
Shaun is thriving in his surroundings and lives to gain a better understanding for all things. This has led to a deep and widespread look at most corners of our industry, which in turn has led to a diverse career path. He remains a qualified and certified welder, heat treatment technician, steamfitter, and welding inspector with a love for sharing knowledge.
Shaun loves seeing people truly engaged in discovery. It’s that eureka moment witnessed when someone gains confidence in their ability that he greatly looks forward to. His career focus is to help pass the torch by delivering solid course instruction that aims to eliminate ambiguity, elevate perspectives, and increase a learners view of self-worth. This aligns with his core values of integrity, respect, and responsibility, not just to students, but to all. Shaun can be found with his family and friends in the mountains either skiing or enjoying a campfire by the water, on stage with his bandmates in local venues, pulling wrenches under a vehicle, or helping someone with home renovations.Â
