Electrical Hazard Reduction & other updates to CSA W117.2
Overview
This presentation provides a general update to the new 2019 edition of CSA W117.2, Canada’s national standard concerning the health and safety of welding personnel. One focus will be on updated requirements for electrical hazard reduction in arc welding put in-place in response to a concerning cluster of fatal electrocutions and serious electrical shock injuries in Canadian welders over recent years. Other updates will focus on new the requirements for PPE, footwear, and respiratory protection, etc.
